The Company ('APLA') values the privacy of its users and complies with the "Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection" in Korea.
For users residing in other countries, the relevant national laws take precedence.
The Company informs users about the purpose, use, and measures taken to protect personal information provided by users through this Privacy Policy.
■ Application of Terms
By using the Company’s services, users are subject to the Terms of Service and the Company’s Privacy Policy.
Any issues not specified in this policy will be governed by the A.PLA Terms of Service (for both A.PLA Studio and A.PLA Mobile), and the user agrees to abide by them.
This policy is posted and notified through links available on the app’s initial screen, help page, and the app download page on app stores (such as Google Play). The Company may revise this policy, and significant changes will be notified through the app or other public posts. The revised policy becomes effective once posted.
If users do not agree to this policy or fail to provide accurate information, they may face limitations or inability to use the service.
■ Collection of Personal Information
The Company collects essential personal information for the smooth operation of services, and in certain cases, additional information may be collected for special reasons such as event product delivery, account management, or paid service use.

Required Information:

Login ID, password, email, gender, date of birth, phone number, carrier information, communication content related to the app usage, and basic information required for normal operation.

To add specific content such as photos or videos, access to the camera, microphone, and photo gallery is required.

DOSI wallet account information may be collected for avatar integration and NFT transactions.

During service use or business processing, the following information may be automatically generated and collected:

Service usage records, location information, access logs, cookies, access IP information, phone number, transaction records, and suspension records.
For users utilizing paid subscription services or making direct payments through the Company (not via iOS or Android platforms), payment-related information, such as debit or credit card numbers, is provided to the Company or the Company's payment service provider.

Mobile payments: Mobile phone number, payment approval number, etc.

Location Information Collection:
The Company may collect personal location information and other relevant data using GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and other methods based on the device used by the user.
However, this collection occurs only if the user explicitly consents. If users do not permit the collection of location information, the Company will not collect it. Personal location information will not be shared with other service users, and will only be used for purposes such as matching conversation partners.
Images received through camera previews are used to reflect the user's motion in the avatar by executing real-time motion capture algorithms and are immediately deleted after processing.
The captured images are not transmitted to the server or stored locally or remotely. Additionally, the Company does not share users’ facial data with third parties for advertising or commercial purposes.
■ Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information
"Personal Information" refers to information that identifies a living individual, such as name, address, or other identifiable data (even if not directly identifiable alone, it can be combined with other information to identify the person).
The Company uses the collected personal information for the following purposes:

Service Provision and Fee Settlement:

Providing content, purchases, payments, product shipping or billing, financial transaction authentication, and financial services.

Member Management:

Verification of identity, identification of individual users, preventing fraudulent use, confirming consent for minor users, handling complaints, and delivering notices.

Marketing and Advertising:

Developing new services (products), sending event information, providing tailored services based on demographic characteristics, analyzing service usage frequency, and publishing targeted ads.
The Company will use personal information only within the scope notified in the Privacy Policy. The Company will not exceed this scope or disclose personal information to external parties without the user's consent, except for the following cases:

When users have given prior consent.

When required for service fee settlements.
•
When provided in aggregate form for statistical purposes, academic research, or market research, making it impossible to identify individuals.

When required by law or when requested by law enforcement through legal procedures.
■ Retention and Use Period of Personal Information
As a general rule, personal information will be destroyed once the purpose of collection and use has been fulfilled. However, the Company retains the following personal information to prevent fraudulent use in accordance with its internal policies and the terms:

Retained Information: Login ID, password, email, service usage records, access logs, cookies, IP information, payment records, legal guardian information.

Retention Reason: To prevent the cancellation of user agreements against the user’s will due to third-party interference or force majeure.

In accordance with relevant laws, the Company may retain personal information for a specified period:

■ Destruction Procedures and Methods of Personal Information
Once the purpose of collection and use of personal information is fulfilled, the Company will promptly destroy the information. The procedures and methods for destruction are as follows:

The information provided during registration is transferred to a separate database (or paper documents are placed in a separate file), and stored for a certain period before being destroyed according to internal policies or legal requirements.

Personal information transferred to a separate database will not be used for any other purposes except as required by law.

Personal information stored in electronic file formats will be deleted using irreversible technical methods.

For smooth service delivery, minimal personal information may be shared with third parties as stated in the "Basic Privacy Policy" under "Third-Party Disclosure."
When payments are made via DOSI Wallet, payment-related information is shared with DOSI Wallet and is subject to its related policies.
Social media users may share their information with the Company when they create an account or log in through social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Google, or Apple) or upload content (such as photos) to A.PLA via social media accounts.
For efficient service operations, a third-party service agency (NGC) may receive some user information, such as IP, email address, phone number, and other registration/payment details, app usage history, and chat logs.
